Senior Site Reliability Engineer

In this role, you will not only design and operate robust platforms for our SaaS offerings but also lead initiatives that shape our infrastructure strategy. If you're passionate about building scalable systems, mentoring others, and driving operational excellence, we’d love to hear from you.  Responsibilities:Architect, build, and evolve our hybrid cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability, resilience, and security Lead the automation and hardening of environments using modern DevOps practices Own the development and operation of our platform, ensuring high availability and performance Drive improvements in operational processes and incident response Design and implement proactive monitoring and alerting systems that focus on symptoms, not just outages Troubleshoot complex production issues across the entire stack and guide root cause analysis Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of reliability and continuous improvement What we are looking for 8+ years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related infrastructure roles, with a proven track record of operating and scaling production systems in hybrid cloud environments Proven experience operating and scaling Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, HashiCorp Vault, and in production environments Advanced proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible Strong understanding of virtualization and networking (e.g., VMware, NSX-T, OpenStack) Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or the Elastic Stack Ability to define and implement target architectures in dynamic, agile environments Solid grasp of IT security principles and experience working within ISO 27001 or similar compliance frameworks Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset Why Xempus Join one of the leading insurtechs in Europe as it enters its next growth phase Chance to participate in one of the most generous employee stock option programs in the industry Very attractive contribution to the company pension schemeCorporate health insurance (600€ reimbursement of various medical and pharmacy costs per year)Find creative freedom and quick decision-making structures in a dynamic, innovative environment Work with a team of amazing colleagues with great team spirit (company parties, charity events e.g.) Have the option of hybrid working - for family friendliness and maximum flexibility in your everyday life.
