Who we are: The professorship deals with the planning and analysis of processes in the health sector. The modeling, analysis, and optimization of questions related to Healthcare Management Science using quantitative methods of Operations Research, Management Science, and Analytics is at the forefront of our scientific activity. At the professorship, you will find an interdisciplinary and very well-equipped work environment in a young team with international visibility. We seek: In the Faculty III: School of Economic Disciplines, Management Science, we are looking for a researcher as of the 01.01.2026 at the following conditions: 100% = 39,83 hours Pay grade 13 TV-L limited for a period of 4 years Your tasks: Independent research in the field of Management Science and/or Analytics with a focus on health Support in research, teaching, and transfer Support in the acquisition and implementation of third-party funded projects Support in the development of the Health Management & Analytics profile area Active participation in the administrative tasks of the professorship Teaching German and English-language courses in Bachelor's and Master's programs Supervision and examination of students Teaching duties: initially 4 semester hours per week Your profile: A university degree (Master's or equivalent) in business with a quantitative focus A doctorate in operations research, management science, or analytics Teaching experience in German and English Experience with international collaborations Multiple international publications in peer-reviewed journals within the department Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of health Excellent command of written and spoken English Desired: German language skills Our range of services: Promotion of own scientific or artistic qualification according to the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz [act on temporary employment in higher education] (e.g., habilitation) Diverse opportunities to take on responsibility and make a visible contribution in the research and teaching environment A modern understanding of leadership and collaboration Good work-life balance, for example, through flexible working hours and work location, as well as support with child care Extensive personnel development program Health management with a wide range of prevention and counseling services Your contact person: Jens O.
