About usWe are looking for a "Senior New Business Development Manager (m/w/d)* to shape the future of SCHOTT. The role is part of a global team, based within our corporate R&D in Mainz This position is part of a development program, tailored for potentials aiming to advance to new roles within 3 to 5 years through self-driven growth. The program offers insights into various business areas, opportunities for networking and visibility at top management level. We do encourage junior candidates who may not tick all the boxes yet to apply.Your Contribution Developing new business opportunities adjacent to SCHOTT´s existing businesIdentification of strategic search fields for new SCHOTT business opportunities, and analysis of potentialmarkets and applicationsLeadership incl. budget responsibility in complex, international new business projects with demanding technological conceptConceptual development (business / sales / implementation models) for selected applicationDrafting of purposeful business plans for subsequent decision-making and operative implementatioProactive cooperation with internal functional units, potential customers and external partnerTransfer of business ideas into the business units, and support in the development of strategies andconcepts for the marketing and sales of new productsYour Profile Excellent honors degree in business management/science/materials or business administration and engineering, preferably with PhD, alternatively University degree in a technical/natural science field with adoctorate and additional business training Strong business acumen paired with deep technological understandinSeveral years of international experience in business/new business development department of a TechnologyfocusedcompanyComprehensive experience in the compilation, evaluation and interpretation of market analyseExperience in the monitoring of markets/competitors and identification of necessary actionKnowledge of the technological trends in markets that are relevant to SCHOTT and identification ofinnovative product ideas and business areaProven track record of successful cooperation in international projects as a member of a cross-functionalteams, ideally project management experiencFluent business English (written and spoken), knowledge of other languages and willingness to travel abroad.Your Benefits SCHOTT’s openness to promote your further development is just as great as our additional benefits.
