Job Description Key responsibilities:The Director Marketing Services as a part of Marketing Services team is a crucial role and will be responsible for strategic planning, finding opportunities, designing programs and execution of Visa marketing activities with partners and clientsDesign and execute long-term bespoken marketing programs for the clients, based on vast expertise in payments and a rich depth of marketing knowledge to scale clients’ business and accelerate business growth.Develop strategic marketing and communication plans designed to meet client expectations, run co-branded marketing campaigns with clients by providing insight driven, data focused and actionable recommendations and end-to-end marketing solutions for relevant products and services across the card lifecycle and beyondPosition Visa as marketing expert with clients sharing in-depth understanding and analysis of payments industry, consumer trends and competitionLead global RFP response efforts across regional Client opportunities, including the response, pitch work and ideation showcasing Visa as the most competitive and strategic option for our clients.Identify opportunities in the market through tracking of key payment trends, cardholder behaviour, and evaluate them to create strategic recommendations for future business propositionsAlign Visa Product, Marketing and Sales objectives and resources against client business needs, partner with VCA and Solutions to ensure bundled approach in selling services to client to better meet client objectivesReview implementation of plans on an ongoing basis and provide guidance to external and internal stakeholders to ensure that KPIs are achievedCommunicate Visa led campaigns as requested with the clients, use local and global sponsorship opportunities and Visa partnerships with the key relevant players in the market to drive client business with Visa.Manage the annual planning cycle through a strategic, bottom-up approachKey competencies:Proven Leadership SkillsStrategic marketing management and creative thinkingBrilliant selling and presentation skillsSuperior negotiation skills leading to timely and acceptable resolutionsData and analyticsClient relationship and management skillsStrong interpersonal skills and working with cross functional teamsExceptional verbal and written communication skillsSelf-directed and motivatedAble to work with little management oversightAnalytical in thought processesThis is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.QualificationsExperienced Director Marketing Services with an exceptional ability to negotiate and close deals, find and create unique opportunities for business with clients, strategic thinker, brilliant presenter and storyteller.Relationship management and business growth for a group of assigned clients as Visa main marketing point of contact.Significant experience in marketing, working with big clients on developing and executing co marketing campaigns. Experience working in or with the bank, knowledge of payments systems and cards industry is an advantage. Strong knowledge of key P&L drivers and leveraging the relevant aspects to build effective business cases.Master’s degree in business or a related field with a marketing foundationProven leader with a track record of building and developing diverse, top performing and highly engaged teamsStrong relationship building experience along with the ability to collaborate and work across countries and various business units to execute on a strategy and develop a new businessDemonstrated track record in the management of external clients, agencies and the development of through the line campaign materials.Strong influencing skills across a matrix environmentBrilliant negotiator, diplomatic, able to persuade with strong, data-driven argumentation, sales exposureStrong self-management skills including demonstrable drive and energyStrong team player, able to work on multitask projects and in multi-functional teamsComfortable working in a fast paced, hands on, growth orientated work environment, must be adaptive to changeStrong personal motivation and commitment, naturally optimisticMust be proactive and demonstrate initiative, responsive and sociableDeep understanding of the payments marketing landscape and working knowledge of payment product economics preferredFluent German and EnglishCandidate must be open to travel as relevant within Visa safety and security policies.Additional InformationVisa is an EEO Employer.
