Do you want to join us in shaping a sustainable future? This team needs your support ... You will be part of the group »Drivetrain Technology« at our site in Bremerhaven. At present our team consists of four employees and several students. We focus on developing test methods for wind turbine nacelle systems and components. At our main shaft test rig, we develop and conduct detailed tests to analyze measured load time series and lifetime damage for the main shaft and main bearings of wind turbines. Respectful cooperation is also very important to us. You are wondering what you can bring to the team?   What you will do These duties await you ... You will research various scaling principles and implement them for developing scaled models for subsystems or components of a wind turbine drivetrain. You will utilize advanced simulation techniques like Finite Element Method (FEM) in ANSYS. You will use programming to develop automated algorithms for downscaling drivetrain components for specific test purposes. Furthermore, you will perform multiple case studies to analyze the performance of the developed scaling methods.   What you bring to the table What is your background? You are studying Mechanical Engineering or a similar field in a master’s program. You have a good knowledge of programming with Python or MATLAB? A good understanding of Finite Element Simulations in ANSYS would be advantageous.   What you can expect What we can offer you ... We offer various opportunities to join us as a student. In case of a student assistantship, the working time consists of up to 80 hours per month. In the case of an internship, remuneration is based on the federal government guidelines for intern salaries.
