About the roleAs a Senior Robotics Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing high-performance software systems for robotic teleoperation and telepresence. You will lead the development of scalable robotics teleoperation stations, infrastructure, and define best practices for software engineering, while guiding the technical direction of the team.Your ResponsibilitiesArchitect and implement high-performance software solutions for robotic teleoperation systemsLead the design and development of robotics software infrastructure and frameworks for the deployment software solutions at scaleDrive technical decisions and establish best practices for software development within the robotics teamMentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews of their workCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, product, and research, to define technical roadmapsSolve challenging technical problems in areas such as control for teleoperation, telepresence, data collection, and model executionDesign and implement simulation environments and testing frameworks to validate robotic behaviorsOptimize algorithms for performance, reliability, and resource efficiencyContribute to strategic technical discussions and product planningStay current with emerging robotics technologies and researchEssential SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master's or PhD preferred)5+ years of professional experience developing software for robotic systemsAdvanced programming skills in C++ and PythonStrong expertise with ROS (Robot Operating System) and related toolsDeep understanding of robot kinematics, dynamics, and control theoryExperience architecting and implementing large-scale robotics software systemsStrong background in computer vision, sensor fusion, and state estimationExperience leading software development projects and mentoring engineersDemonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems in roboticsExcellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersWhat we offerA dynamic, highly qualified, and diverse team in which your contributions are reflected directly in our products and used by our international customer baseFlat hierarchies and short decision-making processesExciting and varying tasks for our product portfolioExcellent working environment, modern office space, and flexible working hours with the option of mobile workingAbout usAgile Robots SE is an international high-tech company based in Munich, Germany with a production site in Kaufbeuren and more than 2300 employees worldwide.
