Your missionThe Project Engineer will be reporting into the CTO team. Their main contribution is to ensure a smooth delivery process of new built locomotives and to support the project manager with technical monitoring of locomotives and keepership responsibility.  Success in this role will come from structured and detail-oriented working style and a basic technical understanding of locomotives or the willingness to build such knowledge. Key tasksSupporting the processing of framework purchase agreements between Nexrail and Vossloh Rolling Stock for a total of up to 90 DE18 locomotivesParticipating monthly project status meetings with milestones trackingConducting weekly coordination meetings for delivery planningCoordination of locomotive acceptance and handover to the customerClose cooperation with the fleet manager for warranty processing (ECM3) at LocMaintPreparation of progress reports and presentations, identification of risks and their mitigationCollaboration with Nexrail's sales team and fleet coordinatorRegistering or re-registering the locomotives in the respective vehicle register and responsibility for keeping data in the register up to dateTransmission, evaluation and implementation of (EBA) technical communications, together with and for the subsidiary LocMaint (ECM)Monitoring the technical condition of locomotivesYour profileUniversity degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related fieldStrong organizational abilities and reliabilityProactive problem-solving mindsetFluent English skills (additional German is an advantage)Familiarity with or strong interest in locomotive technologyAbout usWelcome to NEXRAILNEXRAIL is a full-service locomotive leasing company founded in 2021.Our mission is to transition the European locomotive market to a fossil-free future by developing innovative, sustainable locomotive solutions, such as battery and dual-mode traction.NEXRAIL comprises of 3 entities, one in Luxembourg, one in the Netherlands and one in Germany, called LocMaint as maintenance unit.
