Lead Test Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Lead Test Engineer with preferably a combination of skills of Driver and Test Engineer with a clear understanding of SDLC and testing theory. Seasoned in testing practice with good investigation skills to join our team in its work on IVI automotive project on-site. The client is willing to have the driver on-site (with QA experience) and the QA engineer (2 persons) who will perform field testing using a pre-production prototype car with a new-generation IVI system.Requirements:Driver license of category B5+ years of experience as a Test EngineerAutomotive experience of at least 3 yearsField testing experienceProven proficiency in the creation of test reports and defectsSolid experience in Test case creationUnderstanding of SDLC and testing theoryGerman work permitVery good communication skills in EnglishFlexibility in working schedule. Shifted working hours are expected. Begin after 14:00Nice to have:Prototype driver's licenseHigh Voltage trainingResponsibilities:Leading a team of 3-6 Test EngineersPlanning a working day & task distributionControl proper execution of tasksCreate weekly reportsEnsure the quality of provided servicesTake part in the interview processRamp up new teammatesCommunicate & build relationships with project stakeholdersAttending daily briefings before test drivesUploading updated software to the test carPerforming daily/evening static or dynamic test drivesPerforming weekend static or dynamic test drives by additional customer requestExecuting test plans/test suitesRecording traces and providing proper time markers for defect analysisProducing Test Reports/Test Summary Reports after test drivesCreating defect reports directly after a test drive in internal BTS or customer KPM systemCreating Test cases/suites/plans for testing needsSupporting the engineering team by testing dev-dropsProviding immediate feedback or rectifications to the Tickets Coordinator, FO, Program Lead, etc requestsCollaborating with a car manufacturer or IVI system development team
