We deliver the graphene solution The RoleBlack Semiconductor is seeking a Team Lead – Electronics and Photonics Devices Characterization f/m/d) to drive our electronic integrated graphene photonics devices characterization efforts as we transition from R&D to volume manufacturing.  In this role you will be leading the product characterization and testing activities, ensuring our devices meet commercial specifications while scaling manufacturing processes from prototype to production volumesTo join our team, you should be excited toLead the characterization of electronic integrated graphene photonics products such as modulators, photodetectors, integrated circuits, and optical I/ODevelop and implement test protocols, establish performance benchmarks, and drive design-for-manufacturability improvementsTransition testing processes from R&D to high-volume manufacturing, including automation and throughput optimizationCollaborate with manufacturing engineering to improve yield, reliability and quality standardsBuild and lead a team of test engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of iteration, problem-solving, and continuous improvementWork closely with product, manufacturing, quality teams, and external partners such as equipment vendorsYour QualificationsM.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field5+ years of experience in semiconductor device characterization or photonics testing, with proven team leadership in product development or manufacturingExpertise in testing photonic and electronic-photonic integrated circuits (PIC, EIC, EPIC)Proficiency with electrical and optical measurement techniquesExperience with high-volume testing, automation and statistical analysisExperience in high-speed communication or RF photonics applicationsKnowledge of industry standards for photonic components and reliability testingExperience with optical and opto-electrical testing equipment, probers, and RF photonics instrumentsProficiency in Python programming and data analysis softwareOur work culturePeople Over Processes. At Black Semiconductor, flexibility is key—we ensure work adapts to life, not the other way around.
