IT Infrastructure + DevOps Lead

Your missionAs IT Infrastructure/DevOps Lead, you will become both technical lead and people lead for our internal IT department, which currently consists of three circles: IT Infrastructure, DevOps, and Shared Compute. This is a hybrid role where you will take on management and strategic responsibilities while also staying hands-on in implementation alongside our full-time system administrator and DevOps engineers. You will oversee operational, tactical, and strategic aspects of IT and actively shape the department to enable ImFusion’s continued success.Oversee and evolve the IT department, currently structured into:IT Infrastructure Circle: responsible for IT infrastructure, networking, security, and backupDevOps Circle: responsible for automation and CI/CD infrastructureShared Compute Circle: responsible for our GPU compute clusterLead and mentor a team of direct reports; oversee their performance, well-being, professional growth, and onboardingStay close to technology: contribute to hands-on implementation, troubleshooting, and optimizationEnsure sufficient resources for your department, hire top talent, and grow the team as neededDevelop and execute IT roadmaps aligned with business and engineering goalsEstablish and maintain robust security, reliability, and scalability standardsCollaborate with other departments to ensure that IT enables smooth operations and innovation across the companyYour profile5+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, DevOps, and/or GPU compute clusters3+ years of experience in technical and people leadershipStrong communication skills with both technical experts and non-technical stakeholdersProactive mindset with an understanding of the needs of a growing software companyEager to continuously learn and expand your skills in both technology and its application domainsProfessional working proficiency in English, German is a plusBased in or near Munich, with the ability to work on-site part-timeWhy us?Be part of an international, dynamic, and highly skilled team in flat hierarchies where you can both make an impact and continue to learnContribute to our company values and do good for society by having your work enable actual medical products that improve patients’ livesEarn a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package (such as bike leasing, sports programs, etc.)Enjoy the agility of a start-up paired with the safety of a grown companyBenefit from flexible working hours, remote work and workationWe celebrate success together with various team events (e.g. Summer Party or Oktoberfest)About usImFusion GmbH is a growing company located in Munich, conducting research, development and consulting in advanced medical image computing technologies and computer vision.
