Development Engineer Thermal Analysis

Role: Development Engineer Thermal Analysis Location: Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany. Responsible for thermal analyses of the entire aircraft Creation of 1D, 2D, and 3D thermal simulations of aircraft components to ensure design requirements Planning of instrumentation for temperature-critical components as part of the flight test campaign Close collaboration with the aerodynamics team to create state-of-the-art thermal models for temperature-critical areas in the aircraft Minimum Requirements Completed engineering degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in aerospace engineering At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in thermal analysis In-depth understanding of the thermal environment in the aircraft and its thermal behaviour during flight operations Experience in cooling aircraft systems and the requirements for certification tests Experience in thermal analysis of aircraft structures and equipment part of aircraft certification Experience in creating 1D, 2D, and 3D thermal simulations Experience in 1D flow calculations for ventilation and cooling analysis of compartments Experience in validating thermal analyses using test specimens or flight test data Also advantageous are: Experience with commercial CFD software (e.g., StarCCM+) Experience with CATIA V5 Experience with commercial 1D flow software (e.g., Amesim, Flow Simulator)
