Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer Job Description - Development, monitoring, and improvement of quality processes, methods, and procedures, as well as relevant quality KPIs in engineering - Coordination, consistency review, and support in the drafting of additional processes, procedures, and standards for the design organization with a particular focus on the definition of engineering standards - Development and monitoring of quality criteria for technical deliverables, design documents, checklists - Creation of interface documents for managing engineering service providers (e.g., DOID, DO-DO agreements) - Planning and conducting internal and external audits to ensure compliance with the DOH and its Design Management System (process audits, product audits, audits of engineering service providers) - Collaboration, planning, and support in audits by external/regulatory bodies (e.g., EASA, LBA, HISM) - Support in the root cause analysis of internal and external quality problems in engineering - Active participation in continuous Improvement processes and lessons learned - Creation and coordination of supplier quality control plans, including management of alternatives - Supporting supply chain quality in audits of production suppliers - Contributing to milestones and development gates in aircraft programs - Supporting risk management activities - Planning and conducting training on quality tools, methods, and procedures - Supporting technical training in engineering.   Requirements Profile -Good understanding of quality principles -Good understanding of quality-relevant aspects in the engineering of an aircraft manufacturer with advanced knowledge of compliance with EASA 21J specifications -Preferred: A degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or quality management (BA Eng/Sc) -More than 3 years of professional experience in the aviation industry or a related field -Basic knowledge of airframe certification requirements, design criteria, materials, methods, and tools -Experience in the development of new aircraft is an advantage -Ability to set priorities and manage and implement multiple tasks simultaneously Strong communication skills to conduct audits -Knowledge of German is an advantage
