Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications. We seek a Research Associate to investigate excitonic properties and ultrafast dynamics in perovskite quantum dots using DFT and our screened CI method [1,2]. The project focuses on clarifying the exciton fine structure [3], including the debated “bright ground state” and Rashba effect under external fields, as well as processes like multiple exciton generation (MEG) and Auger recombination. You will compare theoretical results directly to ultrafast optical experiments such as time-resolved PL and 2D spectroscopy. [1] Bester, Journal of Physics: Cond. Mat. 21, 023202 (2008).
