Roquette is a family-owned global leader in plant-based ingredients and a leading provider of pharmaceutical excipients.Want to help us make a difference?Using plant-based resources, we collaborate with our customers and partners to imagine and offer ingredients to better feed people and treat patients.Each of our ingredients responds to unique and essential needs, and they enable healthier lifestyles.Main responsibilities:As a Site Engineering Manager, you will be accountable for executing projects, all the way from Business having an idea until the handover of the project to Operations at the end:Coordinates with Site Leadership, Project Sponsors and Global Head of Engineering (HPS) to develop Site Project Portfolio for PXB and MajorsLeads and provides input into development of the objectives of site projects.Coordinates with the Project Managers and Head of Project Management Europe to develop project execution strategy and priorities to support achievement of business objectives.Coordinates with Project Manager, Project Sponsor, and Finance to develop project economic model to support project justification and prioritization.Challenges quality of Basic Data to improve robustness of inputs before Detailed Design.Drives Value Improving Practices and uses experience to ensure Minimum Essential solutions are implemented.Supervises Internal and External Project Managers, suppliers or service providers who plan and develop capital projects at Site.Ensures the FEL (Front End Loading) process is followed consistent with the business needs, all required FEL deliverables are accomplished in a quality manner.Prepares the Project Manager for gatekeeping reviews or leads them when acting as Project Manager.Ensure the delivery of all technical design documentation related to projects for both construction and for future plant maintenanceEnsures procurement is engaged to set up and execute bid meetings.Manages budgets, change logs for projects to ensure budget is managed and controlled.Ensures all the required EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) reviews are held, and Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements are incorporated into the facility design and installation as well as applies Life Saving Principles and applicable EHS standards in the construction phase.Travel to the Bomlitz/Walsrode Site as requiredSkills and qualifications:Bachelor or master’s degree in Process Engineering or equivalent (Chemical Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Bio-Tech, Food Technology Engineering)Significant experience in the Food and Pharma industries.Experience leading multiple projects simultaneously (10 years minimum)Experience managing project portfolios $5M+Thorough knowledge of capital budgeting process and how projects impact business performance targets.Thorough knowledge of accounting practices systems (SAP, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets).Working knowledge of different engineering disciplines and how they relate to one another.Demonstrated capability of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.Actor and promoter of safety and continuous improvements across all areas of engineeringHigh-level communication skills to discuss strategic and contractual subjects.Excellent oral and writing skills in German and English.What we offer:A collaborative team environment with room for career growth.
