In this position, you will contribute to a pioneering program in its early design phases, focused on developing and validating breakthrough technologies such as optical communication and ultra-precise timing techniques. Your Tasks Define system-level requirements, architecture, and technical budgetsPerform trade-offs, feasibility studies, and risk assessmentsManage requirement flow-down and ensure compliance at subsystem levelCoordinate interfaces across spacecraft, payload, and ground segmentsPrepare technical documentation for major design reviewsSupport planning for AIT and future operational phasesDefine and review system-level test specifications and verification plansMaintain spacecraft databases and simulatorsCollaborate with subsystem engineers, and European suppliersContribute to technical risk management and system validation activities Your QualificationsYou hold a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Engineering, Physics, or a related fieldYou bring experience in satellite projects, ideally in system engineering and early phases (A/B1)You thrive in an innovative environment, are proactive, and enjoy solving complex challengesYou can work independently while coordinating effectively within a diverse teamYou communicate confidently in English (written and spoken); German or other languages are a plusYou are curious, solution-oriented, and eager to contribute to next-generation navigation technologies We offer Work Life Balance: Flexible working hours, sabbatical, 30 days vacation & special leave days Mobile Work: Hybrid work & mobile work abroad Structured on-boarding process (incl.
