(Senior) Financial Analyst

Your missionYou take full ownership of financial modelling, including long-term planning, business cases, valuations, and investor-facing models.You build, enhance, and standardize complex Excel models, including scenario analyses, sensitivities, and unit economics.You translate technical and operational insights into sound financial logic and modelling assumptions.You challenge data and assumptions provided by business and tech stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial models.You conduct valuations (DCF, multiples, comps) and support strategic initiatives such as investments, pricing, and funding decisions.You structure financial models to be transparent, scalable, auditable, and easy to update.You deliver clear outputs and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support management and board-level decision-making.You collaborate closely with management and various departments to gather financial input and business drivers.Your profileYou bring excellent Excel modelling skills, including complex formulas, structured logic, and full financial statement integration.You have strong finance knowledge in areas such as DCF, multiples, forecasting, unit economics, and accounting fundamentals.Your background is technical or quantitative, e.g., Industrial Engineering, Business Engineering, or Finance with a quantitative focus.You can challenge assumptions, understand technical processes, and translate them into clear financial implications.You think analytically and quickly, pay great attention to detail, and communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders.You already gained experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or high-growth finance roles.You work in a structured, reliable, and independent way, with a proactive mindset and solution-oriented attitude.You are fluent in German and English.Ideally, you bring automation or data skills (VBA, Python, SQL, or Power Query) and experience with engineering-driven or tech-oriented business models.Familiarity with fundraising, financial KPIs, unit economics, or investor-facing materials is a strong plus.Why us?Working in a young and interdisciplinary scale-up team A lot of responsibility and creative freedom right from the start Active contribution to climate protection & circular economy  Active involvement in decisionsTeam spirit and a family atmosphereAbout uscylib is a research-based German scaleup for holistic battery recycling - starting from discharging to recovery of all components of the lithium battery - that was founded in Aachen in 2022 by three visionary founders, including a female CEO.Our processThe cylib process offers a complete end-to-end process from battery pack to green battery material by employing a combination of mechanical and thermal pre-treatments and an innovative water-based lithium and graphite recovery. Unlike incumbents, cylib can therefore recover battery materials such as lithium, graphite or manganese. The process was developed over several years of research at the renown RWTH Aachen University and offers an efficient, resource- and climate friendly recovery of all battery materials from end-of-life batteries.cylib's technology enables the recovery of all battery components regardless of whether it is an end-of-life battery or not.
