We are looking for forward-thinking and results-oriented final year Master or Ph.D. student (f/m/d). This position will be based in our Frankfurt office. What you will do Support the Advanced Fixed Income team and portfolio managers in daily investment tasksAnalyze financial markets using technical and data analysis skillsAssist in the data value chain: gather new data, clean and structure data, create descriptive statistics, analyze data, and use data as model inputsApply econometric models and machine learning methodologies to support systematic investment processesContribute to the development of a systematic investment model for global government bondsIntegrate and visualize macroeconomic data into proprietary data infrastructureForecast inflation using state-of-the-art machine learning toolsPerform ad hoc tasks on fixed income instruments such as bonds and derivatives. What you bring Master student in a quantitative and/or analytical discipline e.g., Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, …Being data driven and programming affineInterest in understanding/exploring the financial markets, particularly at the intersect between fixed income, economics, and empirical econometricsStrong knowledge and practical experience in using Python, or equivalent for data analysisSolid understanding of GitHub as well as SQL is also necessaryAbility to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practicesSolid understanding of statistics as well as macro- and econometrical modelsBasic understanding of Machine Learning tools e.g. random forest, gradient-boosted trees, support vector machine is usefulVery good English (at least C1) communication skillsYou are organized, self-motivated and able to work independently with a high reliabilityAbility to work in a dynamic environment as a team player.
