Application Engineer - Optical Sensing (m/d/f)

Location: Jena
Your Duties

Technical support interface (HW/SW/Optics) for Engineering, Marketing, Product Management, and customers
Performance analysis and system validation of ams Osram and competitive products
Design, plan, document and develop new hardware for sensors evaluation kits from initial requirements through prototypes
Drafting application notes, articles and presentations
Setup of product presentations and training for customers and internal staff
Working with international and multidisciplinary project teams
Providing timely and accurate customer feedback and working closely with customers and FAEs to resolve technical challenges

Your Qualifications

Successfully completed studies in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Embedded systems, Software Engineering or related technical field of study
3+ years of working experience
Proactive and self-sufficient in problem solving and accomplishing tasks
Knowledge of embedded systems and software
Experienced at testing and characterization in electronic laboratories
Experience with optical systems, optical filters, microoptics (MLA) and consumer electronic systems is beneficial
Good presentation skills
Fluent in English, German is a plus
Willingness to travel (up to 5%)
