Logistics Operations Manager

Purpose:
As a key member of the Amentum team, the Logistics Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the operational readiness of Army Preposition Stock (APS) in support of mission requirements. This involves managing fleet readiness, interpreting Modernized Table of Equipment (MTOE) and Modernized Configuration of Equipment (MCoE), and ensuring compliance with Army Regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide analysis-based logistical standardization to support prepositioned fleet management and contractual requirements.
- Ensure logistical oversight of up to a Company level, including tracking and analyzing Taskers, operational activities, and department metrics.
- Plan and coordinate multiple mission requirements, including APS Set R1 & S1 Readiness levels.
- Assist with the sustainment program through operational analysis, planning, maintenance, and readiness reporting.
- Serve as a liaison between functional departments to achieve cohesive results.
- Disseminate mission guidance for all operations/taskers.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve the overall quality of the maintenance program.
- Develop, manage, monitor, action, and produce Operational Concepts of Support in support of mission or unit issues.
- Coordinate oversight of Readiness Control Analysis to sustain direct communication with supporting Material Readiness Center and Logistics Operation Center sections.
- Analyze historical data, monitor performance benchmarks, and develop performance continuous improvement programs in the functional area.
- Identify ONS, Taskers, prioritize, assign responsibility, resource, manage, and monitor their implementation of processes based on PWS requirements.
- Develop and publish weekly Operational Readiness reports utilizing required Army Regulations and PWS requirements.
- Implement and improve current processes and procedures, including new tracking methodologies.
- Monitor all MTOE, MCoE, and WRSI stocks and configurations being actioned by functional areas IAW PWS and ARs.
- Conduct research from data entered into AWRDS to ensure all discrepancies are properly identified and corrected.
- Evaluate MWO's/SOUMS/GPA's for accuracy and discrepancies and ensure outstanding messages are corrected with the appropriate recommended actions.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- 8 years of related civilian or military experience required.
- 5 years supervisory experience required.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must have the ability to interpret and implement local policies.
- Must have an intermediate level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
- Must have progressive written and oral communications skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively.
- Possess the capability to use appropriate logistics LIS systems such as: GCSS Army, LMP, and LIW.
Certification, License & Clearance:
- Citizenship required.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Passport.
- Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.
- Secret Clearance is required.
Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:
- Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions, including dust and high temperatures.
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather, and hazardous conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Army Logistics MOS preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration/Management, or equivalent highly preferred. 4 additional years of experience over minimum required can be substituted for degree.
