Logistics Operations Supervisor

Purpose: The Logistics Operations Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision, direction, and support to logistical operations on the APS-2 program. This role involves managing inventory control and government equipment, ensuring asset visibility, integrating and managing data and reports, and coordinating with the 405th AFSBn-Germany Accountable Officer to maintain property and equipment readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate detailed reports from Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A)
  • Perform research using GCSS-A, receipt processing, inventory adjustments, equipment receipts from the Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC), and create Material Release Orders (MROs)
  • Analyze data and provide recommendations
  • Ensure quality standards and metrics are met, and all work is properly completed
  • Manage assigned resources to accomplish the mission
  • Enforce adherence to technical data and management procedures
  • Initiate management actions to meet new workloads or correct reported/perceived deficiencies
  • Able to accurately process Inventory Adjustment Reports (IARs) for review, submittal, and approval
  • Able to write and understand External and Internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure 100% accountability of all assigned APS-2 equipment and validate equipment is on-hand and reflected accurately in the relevant Logistics Information System (LIS)
  • Ensure accurate reporting of all assigned APS-2 equipment in the relevant LIS
  • Conduct item research in GCSS-A and other LIS to include frustrated items
  • Correct errors in paperwork and/or relevant LIS data and reports all errors promptly to Supply Manager
  • Ensure all personnel understand and follow all Company and Government policies, procedures, and directives
  • Able to interact professionally with the PM, COO, GM, and other managers in decision making and strategic planning
  • Work in conjunction with other supply personnel to accomplish all required taskings
  • Provide timely, accurate, and relevant information to the Supply Manager and/or Government personnel as required
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining metrics for their department that accurately reflect performance

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of related work experience with a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of military governing regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Prior military supply experience (Army MOS: 92Y/920A or equivalent) is a plus
  • Ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues, and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to customers
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Must possess the appropriate verbal and written communications to conduct meetings, evaluate plans, and prepare reports, plans, and working instructions
  • Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required
  • Formal Training: GCSS-A certification and/or Military AIT/industry 40hr course equivalent
  • Must complete internal APS-2 GCSS-A training within 60 days of hire
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements
  • Must be able to meet and maintain all LIS access requirements (Common Access Card)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
  • Must have or be able to obtain a US Passport

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to independently operate with minimal supervision
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of operations, logistics, and maintenance
  • Must have demonstrated leadership and management skills, including a professional demeanor

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license is required
  • Formal Training: GCSS-A certification and/or Military AIT/industry 40hr course equivalent

Work Environment:

The Logistics Operations Supervisor will work in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards, mainly sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

May be required to deploy on missions on short notice at the direction of the PMO.
