Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our Digital Transformation team in Düsseldorf. As a Data Architect, you will play a key role in designing and developing data models, ETL pipelines, and architectures to support our operational business lines.
Your Responsibilities:- Design and develop data models, ETL pipelines, and architectures to meet the data requirements of our operational business lines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop data models solutions that meet those requirements.
- Define and document data standards, data policies, and data governance processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our data assets.
- Manage the entire data lifecycle, including data modeling, database design, data integration, data quality, and data security.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team to ensure that data architectures and models are implemented correctly.
- Ensure that our data governance framework is followed in the COO area.
- Provide input and recommendations into our learning platform to improve Uniper's data capabilities.
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Economics, Information Systems, Statistics, Applied Math, Business Administration, or any other related field.
- At least 10 years of working experience in a data engineering, ETL/ELT processes, and preferably working as a Senior Data Architect in a fast-paced and complex business setting.
- Demonstrate working according to the Uniper Way.
- Demonstrated experience building and developing ETL pipelines, dimensional data models, and data warehouse solutions.
- Microsoft MCP Solution Architect, Snowpro Core certification, Snowpro Advanced Architect.
- Candidate will further demonstrate skills in database design, data integration, data architecture, data warehousing, dimensional modeling regarding Kimball, data mesh.
- Candidate must also be highly skilled in the use of SQL, Snowflake, Python, Azure Data Factory.
- Experience in a practical way with Talend jobs and batch accounts.
- Understand A/B testing as well as vast knowledge in the identification of key metrics that measure and drive long-term health of the business.
- Hands-on experience on data modeling at both conceptual and physical level. Experience using some modeling tool such as Oracle Modeler or others.
- Data analytics/data science skills. Experience with Python (pandas, scikit-learn, Keras, TensorFlow).
- Hardworking, persistent, dependable with ability to get things done.
- Ability to empower people to reach higher standards.
- Business fluency in English, other languages advantageous.
