PhD Position in Auditory Research

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join our research group for Experimental Audiology at the Technical University of Munich. The successful candidate will work on a project investigating the relationship between cochlear anatomy and function, with a focus on developing new neuroprosthetic devices and surgical methods.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the recruitment of study participants (typically students with compensation)
- Conduct hearing tests (audiometry) as part of the screening process and determine suitability for study participation
- Coordinate appointments for MRI scans (Department of Neuroradiology, TUM) and hearing tests (up to participants)
- Perform subjective and objective hearing tests within the study
- Manage and analyze data
- Write publications and presentations
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., biology, neuroscience)
- Reliable and thorough working style
- Good communication skills in German or English
- Experience in coordinating scientific studies is an advantage
- As a PhD student, you will be part of a new research group for Experimental Audiology

- The PhD student will be employed by the Klinikum rechts der Isar (MRI) for a total duration of three years with the possibility of extension for one year. The employment will be based on TV-L.
