About the Role

The Voith Group is a leading global technology company that specializes in energy, paper, raw materials, and transport & automotive sectors. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's Hydro Division in the commissioning of hydroelectric power turbines and balance of plant mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute site commissioning of hydroelectric power turbines, including auxiliaries and governing systems, worldwide.
  • Commission mechanical balance of plant equipment, such as cooling water systems, drainage and dewatering systems, oil supply systems, and hydraulic steel structures.
  • Conduct fault finding, optimization, and reporting during commissioning works.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to quality standards.
  • Handover equipment and provide training to customers.
  • Provide technical project and engineering support at the back office in Heidenheim.

Requirements

  • Completed education in mechanical or mechatronic engineering.
  • Experience in commissioning hydroelectric power turbines and balance of plant mechanical systems is an advantage.
  • Alternatively, a technician-level education with relevant professional experience is acceptable.
  • Fluent English language skills, both spoken and written. Knowledge of German and other languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, or French, is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS-Office.
  • Ability to work worldwide, with readiness for short and long-term business trips and permanent site deployment.
  • Result-oriented, analytical, and teamwork capabilities, with loyalty and high operational readiness.
  • Intercultural experience is an advantage.
