We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Raisin. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial closing activities.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Closing Activities: Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Financial Data Entry: Enter financial data, including revenues, accruals, provisions, deferrals, and reclassification entries into the ledger.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts, including intercompany accounts, with the general ledger.
- Consolidation Support: Support the consolidation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Audit Support: Support auditors in conducting internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Process Improvement: Drive improvements in the efficiency of accounts payable and employee expenses processes, in line with our current procedures.
- Vendor Bill Management: Support the AP team with accurately recording and classifying vendor bills and paying them within the specified terms.
- Accounting Process Development: Create and enforce accounting processes, maintain general ledger accounts, and gather and/or create supporting documentation.
- Process Documentation: Document and improve existing accounting processes, support the design and implementation of new accounting processes.
- Complex Accounting Decisions: Develop and document solutions to complex accounting decisions and develop solutions to tax issues in close collaboration with our tax advisors.
- Education: You have an academic degree in accounting or a comparable education/qualification.
- Language Skills: Fluent German and good written and spoken English skills.
- Experience: Several years of practical experience in financial accounting, including both General Ledger and Accounts Payables functions.
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong ability to handle German Local GAAP (HGB), IFRS, and German Tax matters, with a desire to constantly improve in these areas.
- Accounting Software: Extensive knowledge of accounting and accounting management principles, as well as general ledger and accounts payables processes, with experience with the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- ERP Systems: Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, with Oracle Netsuite being an advantage.
- Audit Experience: Experience in supporting statutory audits of annual financial statements and tax audits.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, excellent time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
