Digital Supply Chain Enterprise Architect

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Domain Architect to join our Corporate Information Technology team in Oberkochen, Munich, or Jena. As an Enterprise Domain Architect, you will play a crucial role in strengthening our Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Innovation Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design the global IT technology, application, and data architecture to ensure seamless integration of solution building blocks at the platform and application levels.
- Develop a comprehensive vision for the target architecture, considering business requirements and EA sustainability in the Digital Supply Chain domain.
- Understand the current capabilities and application landscape to identify and prioritize EA improvement potentials.
- Drive and lead the definition of the ZEISS architectural IT framework and high-level roadmap within the EA domain ERP SCM, including Manufacturing, Warehouse Management, and Business Planning solutions.
- Provide guidance to management and solution development teams on technological and architectural issues.
- Conduct IT/Digital Technology Scouting of new domain-relevant technologies and help business units shape their IT/Digital Roadmap.
- Lateral lead Solution Architects placed within the decentral CIT organization in the domain.
- Act in an EA governance role within architecture decision bodies.
- Care for high-quality architecture documentation, especially in the Enterprise EA repository.
About You
We are looking for a highly competent individual with a Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field. You should have profound years of professional experience and expertise in enterprise and solution architecture design, covering technology, data, and application layers in Cloud Digital platforms and SAP S/4, S/4 HANA, and SaaS product portfolio.
Requirements
- Proven experience in EA Governance at large and global companies and applying professional EA Management methods (e.g., TOGAF).
- Experience in large IT transformation programs.
- Good Process knowledge in Production Engineering and Operations and integrations to other SCM modules.
- Highly competent and transparency- and integrity-based behavior, especially towards management levels.
- Good interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills, e.g., for chairing meetings, facilitating workshops, and presenting to senior stakeholders in business terms.
- Ability to work independently and engage with stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
- Willingness for continuous professional and personal education.
- Fluent in English and German.
