Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Systems and Application Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in Munich or Geneva. This role involves prioritizing team tasks, maintaining effective communication with stakeholders, and driving the team towards achieving critical objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electronics, power electronics, and/or sensors, with proven experience in the semiconductor industry and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 5+ system/application engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Prioritize team tasks and maintain effective communication with key stakeholders in product management, design, and management.
- Proactively champion the growth and development of team members.
- Lead the recruitment of new team members.
- Drive the team towards achieving critical objectives, including:
- In-depth product knowledge: Develop and execute efficient characterization plans aligned with target specifications and applicable standards.
- System-level product definition and requirements.
- Comprehensive customer support through technical guidance, issue investigation, and reporting.
- Building and documenting application understanding through customer interactions, research, and system simulations.
- Development of innovative concepts to address customer challenges efficiently.
- Management of the patent system architecture.
- Definition of next-generation products and derivatives through system breakdown.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics.
- 5+ years of experience as an application engineer, system engineer, or product definer within a semiconductor company.
- Proven experience leading and motivating teams.
- Demonstrated experience with the automotive industry and ISO26262 standards.
- Strong foundation in electronics, power electronics, and/or sensors (plus).
- Curiosity and ability to lead investigations for resolving customer issues and understanding requirements.
- Proven ability to synthesize customer needs and deliver clear technical communication.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is €120,000 - €150,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
