We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Engineer - Technical Documentation Specialist to join our team at ABB. As a key member of our global team, you will play a crucial role in driving the transformation of society and industry to achieve a more productive and sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze internal and external documents, as well as legal and regulatory requirements, to ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Effectively communicate and provide relevant information to the team, and support colleagues with advice and guidance on processes and documentation issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including engineering specialists, to coordinate and delegate tasks to external consultants.
- Describe the acquisition, processing, and dissemination of information, according to main communication protocols (IoT), and from the User's perspective.
- Define questionnaires and various surveys, analyze, and publish the data collected in efficient reports.
- Share knowledge of the process for product manuals and all related documentation, kit instruction, 3D, 2D, and electrical diagrams.
- Master or Bachelor in Mechatronic, Telecommunications, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience as a documentation specialist or designer engineer; experience in Technical Documentation for Electrical distribution and Protection products will be an added advantage.
- CAD 2D/3D and related mechanical and electrical design knowledge, and related international standards.
- Technical understanding and willingness to learn and continuously acquire new competencies.
- Details-oriented and ability to keep attention on multiple activities to be managed in parallel.
- Good knowledge of the Excel package. Power BI is considered a plus.
- Agile mindset and ability to simplify difficult topics thinking from a customer's perspective.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English. Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, market knowledge, leadership skills, social skills complete the profile.
- Availability for business travel (approx. 20%).
