About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Manager (gn) to join our global team in Germany. As a key member of our international team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of our German subsidiary and driving the development of our Finance department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial management of the German subsidiary, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Business partner for the Senior Management team, providing strategic financial guidance and support
  • Responsible for the monthly close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  • Preparation of monthly financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets
  • Implementation and development of the internal control system (ICS)
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts, as well as variance analysis
  • Analysis of income, expenses, and balance sheet accounts
  • Liquidity planning and cash flow forecasting
  • Collaboration with local Finance teams and the Shared Service Center (SSC)
  • Monitoring the proper execution of SSC tasks
  • Coordination of external audits and liaison with auditors and tax consultants
  • Main point of contact for M&A activities
  • Definition and implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and development of tools and processes
  • Identification of challenges, proactive problem-solving, and derivation of recommendations for actions
Requirements
  • Completed degree in Business Administration with a focus on accounting and/or controlling, or equivalent qualification
  • Several years of experience in financial accounting and controlling, preferably in an international corporate environment with matrix structures
  • Practical knowledge of German Commercial Code (HGB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP FI/CO/BW and MS Excel, knowledge of Oracle (Group Reporting) is desirable
  • Fluent German and English language skills
  • Effective and proactive communication, as well as attention to detail
  • High resilience and coordination skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and sense of responsibility
