Ladenhilfe Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Ladenhilfe to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a key member of our commissary team, you will be responsible for maintaining adequate stock levels, replenishing depleted stock, and ensuring accurate pricing and inventory management.

• Maintain stock levels and ensure accurate inventory management
• Replenish depleted stock and transport items to shelving or display areas
• Use cart and manual or electric pallet jacks to move items
• Place computer-generated selling price labels on shelves and perform price verification
• Scan product codes and compare prices with label prices
• Bring any discrepancies to the attention of management and make necessary changes
• Arrange stock on shelves or in displays in a neat and orderly manner
• Constantly check for damaged, spoiled, or out-of-date merchandise
• Refer items to supervisor and/or food inspector
• May assist in unloading incoming shipments and checking stock
• Use handheld terminals to scan UPC codes and verify items are authorized
• Enter quantities received into handheld terminal and print reports
• Verify totals with delivery tickets and inform management of discrepancies
• Move stock into temporary or permanent storage locations
• Stack containers in groups by commodity, brand, and size
• Participate in inventories
• Respond courteously and professionally to patron questions

• 6 months of General Experience required
• General Experience is simple work in an office or store that does not require knowledge in a specific field of work
• Current employees in the same or similar positions who do not meet E&T Level I must have additional 2 years of general experience to qualify
• Language Proficiency Level B2 required in English and German
