Pulp and Paper Industry Technical Services Manager

The Role

As Technical Services Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the regional growth of our business by providing hands-on and remote technical support to Pulp and Paper customers in the region. You will work closely with the local P&P team to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and identify business opportunities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on and remote technical support to key accounts in the southeast and east coast of North America
  • Lead the coordination, planning, execution, and follow-up of mill trials, including reporting and documentation
  • Work closely with local account managers and technical service managers to develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in Pulp and Paper mills
  • Participate in identifying customer needs, supporting the development of solutions, and providing technical assessments of opportunities
  • Identify and assess market potential and business opportunities in the region, in collaboration with the Sales team
  • Ensure safe trialling of enzymes, respecting local environmental requirements, safety practices, equipment, and quality issues
  • Contribute to innovation processes as part of the global application team, leveraging technical application knowledge

About You

  • 10+ years of experience in the Pulp and Paper industry with a strong technical background
  • Preferably a degree in Paper Science and Engineering or a comparable field
  • Experience in enzyme application is a significant asset, but not essential
  • Solid understanding of technical and commercial industry needs, including main financial drivers
  • Ability to network within the industry and manage stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively translate between technology and customer needs
  • Willingness and ability to travel (including internationally) 50-80%
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, with Spanish language skills being a benefit
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
