European Tech Recruit is seeking a highly skilled Principal Safety Engineer to join our team.
About the RoleWe are looking for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in functional safety development for braking systems or chassis electronics. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ESP, IBooster, IBP, and EMB functional safety design at both the system and software levels.
Key Responsibilities- Develop failure diagnosis strategies and safe state strategies at both the system and software levels.
- Participate in the hardware and software design processes for the functional safety of the intelligent chassis, including reviewing hardware, software designs, and test specifications.
- Oversee the development, analysis, and management of functional safety requirements, including writing system requirements specifications.
- Build and model system functions for HARA and simulate scenarios to support functional safety analyses.
- Provide technical support throughout the development process, including Design Verification/Product Validation (DV/PV), mass production, and after-sales service.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical & Electronic Engineering, Automation, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in functional safety development for braking systems or chassis electronics.
- Proficiency with tools such as CANape/Analyzer, Matlab/Simulink, and CarMaker/CarSim, with a preference for experience with CarMaker.
