The Small Animal Clinic of the Animal Hospital Freie Universität Berlin offers a unique opportunity to work in a cutting-edge academic environment. As a specialist veterinarian of Anaesthesia and Analgesia, you will be responsible for providing high-quality veterinary care to outpatients, inpatients, and surgical patients in the field of anaesthesia and pain management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organizing and providing veterinary care for outpatients, inpatients, and surgical patients in the field of anaesthesia and pain management
- Independent teaching in accordance with the German Teaching Obligations Ordinance (LVVO) in the field of small animal and pet anesthesia, including lectures, propaedeutics, clinical rotations, emergency courses, and elective duties
- Professional involvement in the training of residents and veterinary specialists in various disciplines
- Research in the field of small animal anesthesia
Requirements:
- Specialist veterinarian of Anaesthesia and Analgesia or Diplomate of the European / American College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA/ACVAA); doctorate in veterinary medicine; veterinary license to practice medicine as well as at least three years of experience in veterinary anaesthesia (full-time employment) after the completion of the university degree
