Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Applied Researcher to join our Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) team at Amazon Development Center Germany GmbH. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Natural Language Processing, Machine/Deep Learning, and Large Language Models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting research to improve LLM-powered conversational systems.
  • Leading the design and development of LLM-based solutions for task-oriented dialogue systems.
  • Communicating effectively with the leadership team and colleagues from science, engineering, and business backgrounds.
  • Providing research direction and mentoring junior researchers.

Requirements

  • PhD in computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics, or an equivalent quantitative field.
  • PhD, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of applied research experience.
  • 5+ years of experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business applications.
  • Experience programming in Python, Java, C++, or a related language.
  • Experience with LLM and deep learning methods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD with specialization in AI, natural language processing, or machine learning.
  • Research experience on LLMs, foundation models, and multi-agent framework.
