Senior Search Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Search Engineer to join our team at Delivery Hero. As a key member of our search team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge search applications that transform the food and grocery delivery industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable and reliable search services used across more than 60 countries and 35 languages.
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, analysts, and product managers to solve complex search problems.
- Develop and maintain world-class, high-traffic services and APIs in a team of experienced software engineers.
- Practice modern software development methodologies such as continuous delivery, TDD, and Scrum.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Experience working with Elasticsearch/Solr/Lucene and building scalable information retrieval systems.
- Good understanding of search relevance and experience in improving search relevance using text and semantic matching algorithms and NLP techniques.
- Extensive knowledge and working experience with Java Frameworks.
- Solid experience in the design and implementation of APIs and design patterns.
- Development and co-ownership of applications used by millions of users.
