The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Direct Lending Origination Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Direct Lending Origination team, you will be responsible for:
- Working closely with our existing Direct Lending investment team to originate and execute transactions across the DACH region
- Supporting the local head of origination in maintaining financial sponsor client and advisor relationships through effective communication
- Evaluating, structuring, and executing investment opportunities and transactions to support execution
- Supporting investment and structuring teams with legal documentation, processes, and procedures
- Preparing and presenting investment committee memorandums to the Investment Committee
- Reviewing, preparing, and sensitive investment case models for senior management
- Evaluating credit risks across multiple factors such as industry trends, market conditions, and potential borrowers
- Ensuring regulatory compliance by staying updated on relevant regulations and ensuring compliance with internal and external guidelines
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in Corporate Alternative Credit transactions, with a focus on Leveraged/Direct Lending. The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong track record of experience in Corporate Alternative Credit transactions, with a focus on Leveraged/Direct Lending
- Proven technical analysis skills, with experience of conducting due diligence and financial modeling of Corporate Credit investments
- Solid experience in private loan investment management, gained from a credit fund, commercial or investment bank, hedge fund, or mezzanine fund, with knowledge of LP relations
- Experience working with financial sponsors and debt advisors, with existing networks and relationships a plus but not a requirement
- Experience of producing credit investment proposals and supporting documentation for Investment Committees
- Experience of managing risk controls within an investments environment, with good understanding of the fiduciary duty of care
- Education to degree level in a finance-related discipline from an accredited college or university (or equivalent) or an acceptable level of industry experience
