Job Title: Head of Products and Equipment

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Products and Equipment team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and expansion of our products and equipment, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, time, and cost.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading cross-functional teams to develop and implement product strategies
  • Ensuring technical solutions meet all requirements, including conception, implementation, and integration
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to drive project and operations success
  • Ensuring adherence to applicable guidelines and processes
  • Securing necessary skills and resources for project success
  • Monitoring and improving collaboration with external partners
  • Developing and implementing R&D projects with the team
  • Securing external funding from customers and/or governmental agencies
  • Ensuring guided technology development according to milestone and TRL rules
  • Ensuring time, cost, and quality on R&D projects
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Studies in mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a comparable field
  • Knowledge of automation and basic welding knowledge, with bus systems/interfaces desirable
  • Experience in NDT, automation, and PLC knowledge (Siemens/Simatic S7; B&R Automation Studio; Beckhoff/CoDeSys, WinCC, and WinCC flexible)
  • Experience in assessing, analysing, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting automation solutions
  • Expertise in project management in complex automation projects, using both classic and agile approaches
  • Experience in leading (funded) R&D projects
  • Clearly developed leadership skills, demonstrated through experience in leading and controlling teams and/or projects
  • Independent and structured way of working, strong analytical skills coupled with a high level of reliability
  • Advanced negotiation skills in English and German, with additional languages like French and/or Spanish desirable
