Join a Patient-Centric Organization as Site Head in Germany

We are seeking an experienced leader to become the Site Head of our Vaccines Manufacturing site in Singen, Germany. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and executing the Singen strategy to establish the site as a Global Hub for Qdenga.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve business objectives and ensure the site's compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Establish strong relationships with customers, quality management, HR, finance, and other functions to foster collaboration and drive results.
  • Create an inspiring work environment that empowers employees to perform at their best and promotes a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Elevate staff capabilities through on-the-job experiences, development, and training activities to enhance overall performance.
  • Ensure the production of high-quality products in regulatory and quality compliance while maintaining competitive costs.
  • Host inspections by third-party auditors and implement commitments to regulatory agencies in a timely manner.
  • Deliver project milestones and product supply commitments on schedule, managing follow-up activities for critical issues affecting quality, cost, and supply.
  • Develop and maintain organizational structures that reduce complexity, enhance collaboration, and leverage employee capabilities in accordance with German labor law and trustful collaboration with trade unions and work councils.
  • Promote Operational Excellence programs using Takeda's eAGILE capabilities and drive direct daily interaction and presence (e.g., Gemba walks).
  • Sustain a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and manage the shift from project focus to commercial production focus.
  • Maintain collaborative interactions at local and global levels between various functions, some of which have alternative reporting lines (e.g., Quality, MS&T), and actively network across functions in Takeda.
  • Take full responsibility for legal requirements associated with overall production and EHS requirements according to law and Takeda standards.
  • Assure implementation of Takeda's Business Ethics/Code of Conduct.

Your Profile:

  • A Master of Science or Engineering, or other Life Science educational background, with a minimum 15 years of experience in relevant roles.
  • A solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including full end-to-end production, disposition, and supply of finished products.
  • A deep familiarity with cGMP standards and Quality Management in EU and FDA regulated production environments, including for sterile products.
  • Experience in vaccine manufacturing and technology is highly preferable, or at least strong experience in manufacturing Biological products.
  • Outstanding leadership capabilities, excellent people and change management skills, communication, and proven ability to align stakeholders at all levels.
  • A mature personality with high credibility as an organizational leader; clear evidence of ability to lead an organization of Singen Site's scale and complexity.
  • A track record of driving change and building agile organizations, with a culture of continuous improvement through process excellence, and focus Patients, Quality, and Safety.
  • Good commercial knowledge, negotiation skills, and experience with budgeting, strategic planning, and working to resolve conflicts with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in written and spoken German and English.

Estimated Salary: €120,000 - €150,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
