Job Title: Professional Services Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Services Engineer to join our team at RIZE Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our clients in the field of network engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve current performance or service availability issues on client premises.
  • Network Performance Analysis and Optimization: Collect and analyze information to understand network performance, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Lifecycle Network Design Support: Maintain network architecture and Engineering Design Plan (EDP) documents, including modifications to accommodate network expansion and changes.
  • Network Management: Assist with ongoing network configuration and provisioning management activities.
  • Pre-Production Lab Support: Assist with ongoing assessment of hardware and software products for possible incorporation into the customer's production network.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills and technical knowledge.
  • In-depth knowledge of physical and logical network designs, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Superior technical competence in trouble-shooting real-time embedded software, optical and digital hardware, and network management systems.
  • Strong technical background in long-haul or inter-office optical networking technologies, including DWDM/SONET/SDH and high-speed Ethernet.
  • TCP/IP experience with emphasis on OSPF, ISIS, RSVP, GMPLS, and P2P.
  • Experience with Layer2 and 3.
  • Strong technical background testing or supporting of NM/OSS software using XML, CORBA, TL-1 or SNMP, and long-haul optical networking physical layer hardware.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • German language skills.
  • EU passport or permanent resident permit.
