Job Title: Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Huntington Ingalls Industries. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network systems to support our mission-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement network architectures to meet business requirements
  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices and systems
  • Develop and implement network security policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network infrastructure meets business needs
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in network engineering
Requirements:
  • 9 years of relevant experience in network engineering, with a Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 7 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field
  • 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 13 years of relevant experience
  • Active DOD TS clearance
  • Proficiency in using network monitoring and management tools
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
Preferred Requirements:
  • Troubleshooting LAN/MAN/WAN and other network-related problems
  • Providing technical expertise for performance and configuration of networks
  • Performing general LAN/BAN/WAN administration
  • Providing technical leadership in the integration and test of complex large-scale computer integrated networks
  • Installation, configuring, troubleshooting, and setting up the lab for various networks
  • Testing, evaluating, and configuration management of the network
  • Ability to work in a virtual team environment
  • Able to conduct research into networking issues as required with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
