Network Engineer

The HII USAFE team is responsible for designing, engineering, and deploying information technology networks. As a Network Engineer, you will support all aspects of network architecture, implementation, and troubleshooting with a focus on stability, automation, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Design and plan network systems
- Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture
- Conduct testing of network systems
- Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing
- Evaluate and report on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience
- In-depth understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, IP networking, and telecommunications standards
- Proficiency in using network monitoring and management tools
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable
- Active DOD TS clearance at minimum required
- Troubleshooting LAN/MAN/WAN and other network related problems
- Providing technical expertise for performance and configuration of networks
- Performing general LAN/BAN/WAN administration
- Providing technical leadership in the integration and test of complex large-scale computer integrated networks
- Installation, configuring, troubleshooting, and setting up the lab for various networks
- Testing, evaluating, and configuration management of the network
- Ability to work in a virtual team environment
- Able to conduct research into networking issues as required with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
