Job Summary

The Student Financial Advisor serves as the primary point of contact for students and families, providing exceptional customer service and support in navigating the financial aid process. This role requires a strong understanding of federal, state, and institutional award programs, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with students and families to assist with the application process and answer questions related to eligibility, awarding, and disbursement of financial aid funds.
  • Review incoming documents and resolve pre-verification conflicts, ensuring timely awarding and maintaining eligibility for aid.
  • Conduct administrative responsibilities for program compliance, including FAFSA Verification, Return to Title IV evaluation and processing, and Federal Pell Grant disbursement and reconciliation.
Requirements

An Associate's degree with 2 years of clerical or customer services experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of Title IV programs, financial aid satisfactory progress, and federal and state regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment, are essential.
