Electrical Section Chief

U.S. Army Europe and Africa is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Section Chief to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and accomplishing activities involved in the operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement of electrical facilities with different voltage levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Studies and makes recommendations on Section programs, resources, and priorities.
  • Delegates authority, assures coordination between subordinate units, and establishes internal controls.
  • Provides supporting documentation for recommendations to change existing plans regarding electrical systems and equipment.
  • Assigns and reviews work through subordinate supervisors, resolves differences among subordinates, and recommends conclusive personnel actions.
  • Ensures employees are properly oriented, receive guidance and training, understand assignments, and are properly evaluated.
Requirements
  • Must be a graduate from a Fachhochschule, a Berufsakademie, or a Technische Hochschule as an Engineer in the discipline specifically required for the position.
  • Must be in the possession of a valid driver's license class B.
  • Office automation skills required.
  • English Language Proficiency level B2 and German Language Proficiency level C1 required.
Working Conditions

The designated duty station is at present Vilseck. The future incumbent may be reassigned to another duty station within the same works council agency and commuting area.
