Role Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic engineering student, ideally with a focus on ergonomics or biomechanics, to join us as a working student for a six-month period. The selected candidate will engage in research and development initiatives, emphasizing the design of components, prototyping, laboratory testing, and gathering user insights within our collaborative team environment.
Main Responsibilities:
Engage in R&D efforts, playing a key role in the creation of pioneering medical solutions:
- Research: Conduct literature reviews and user interviews to gather insights
- Design: Develop innovative technical solutions in medical devices using engineering principles and CAD software
- Prototyping: Fabricate prototypes utilizing 3D printing technology
- Testing: Perform thorough evaluations of prototypes to verify their functionality and dependability
- Validation: Assess designs through user feedback sessions to ensure usability
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in an accredited Engineering program (preferably in biomedical engineering)
- Experience in ergonomics, human factors engineering, or related fields is advantageous
- Proficient in CAD software, such as Inventor
- Strong passion for the medical industry
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
