About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Metal Valorisation and Spent Catalyst Manager to join our team at Evonik. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers and expanding existing relationships in the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Valorise metal-containing catalysts and sell spent catalysts to customers in the EMEA region.
- Negotiate supply contracts and long-term agreements with customers.
- Manage purchase and sale prices, and optimize catalyst and spent catalyst sales.
- Attend trade fairs and conferences to promote our products and services.
- Manage notification procedures for metal-containing spent catalyst from customers, including creating, reviewing, and negotiating notification contracts.
- Coordinate waste transportation across the EU with external partners and internal departments.
- Conduct internal training sessions to educate colleagues on our products and services.
- Develop new waste transportation concepts within and outside the EU.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental management, chemistry, business, or a related field.
- Several years of professional experience in catalyst trading and/or spent catalyst management.
- Fluency in French, English, and German.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, as well as intercultural competence.
- Analytical thinking and a passion for innovation.
- Ability to travel for trade fairs and customer visits.
