Technology Solutions Architect

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Solutions Architect to join our team at Dusseldorf Airport. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for establishing an IT technology map and creating and reviewing solution architectures for IT projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design or review solution architectures provided by IT vendors for IT projects.
  • Create a technology map that lists all IT technologies used and defines target IT technologies, including native cloud services.
  • Define the technology lifecycle and implement a cloud-based Kubernetes service.
  • Support the creation of a FinOps concept for providing transparency over cloud operations costs and low-code platforms.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, or Software Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a developer or system architect, ideally with Java-based development experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of software and integration patterns.
  • Development experience in Java and frameworks, including SpringBoot, Angular/React.
  • Knowledge in the development and specification of IT interfaces based on common web, connectivity, and messaging standards/protocols, as well as architectural patterns such as XML, JSON, etc.
  • Experience in implementing and working with cloud service-based Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS).
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Clear customer orientation, entrepreneurial, and analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication skills, as well as an obliging and confident appearance.
