Chief Data Protection Specialist

Our company, ING Luxembourg, seeks an experienced and skilled Chief Data Protection Specialist to join our team. This role will be based in Luxembourg and reports directly to the CDO.

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that all data protection regulations are followed within the organization, including GDPR compliance. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data protection, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience working in a banking environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• You will work closely with various departments, such as Legal, CISO, and ORM, to ensure data privacy compliance.
• You will provide guidance on interpreting and applying data protection rules and policies.
• You will monitor and report on data protection compliance, highlighting any areas where improvement is needed.
• You will collaborate with stakeholders to develop effective strategies for embedding Privacy by Design principles across the organization.
• You will lead interdisciplinary teams to achieve common goals and promote data protection awareness throughout the company.

Key Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR.
• Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven track record of success in data protection management within a banking environment.
