Your Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team at thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH. As a key member of our Construction & Commissioning department, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Represent Construction & Commissioning in proposals and contracts, ensuring seamless coordination with Project Management, Engineering, and Procurement teams.
  • Manage pre-construction activities, including Construction Engineering, Material Management, QA/QC, and Completion Management, to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
  • Develop the Construction Execution Plan in close alignment with all disciplines, ensuring a clear understanding of project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain the site organization chart and personnel engagement plan, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Manage the budget for temporary site facilities, site supervision, and commissioning personnel, as well as pre-construction activities, to ensure financial discipline and accountability.
  • Provide Construction & Commissioning input to the development and award of subcontracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for site mobilization, including the design and timely implementation of temporary site facilities, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Coordinate the mobilization of subcontractors to the site, ensuring a smooth transition and effective collaboration.
  • Manage the assignment of personnel to the site in close cooperation with site management and line organization, ensuring the right skills and expertise are deployed at the right time.
  • Ensure operative support to the site, providing guidance and assistance as needed to ensure project success.
  • Coordinate project close-out for Construction & Commissioning, including lessons learned, to ensure continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Your Profile

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled professional with a strong background in construction management and project leadership. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably civil, mechanical, or chemical.
  • Significant experience on construction sites and in construction management, preferably in large-scale plant construction in the chemical industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with RIT iTWO and SAP daproh, ideally.
  • Good language skills in English and German, with additional languages such as Spanish, French, or Arabic being highly welcome.
