Lead Construction Project Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the representative for Construction & Commissioning in proposals and contractual agreements, ensuring effective coordination with Project Management, Engineering, and Procurement teams.
- Oversee pre-construction activities, including Construction Engineering, Material Management, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and Completion Management.
- Collaborate closely with various disciplines to develop the Construction Execution Plan.
- Establish and maintain the site organization chart along with the personnel engagement strategy.
- Manage the budget for temporary site facilities, site supervision, commissioning personnel, and pre-construction tasks.
- Provide Construction & Commissioning input for the development and awarding of subcontracts.
- Ensure effective site mobilization, including the design and timely implementation of temporary facilities.
- Coordinate the mobilization of subcontractors to the project site.
- Work closely with site management and the line organization to assign personnel to the site.
- Deliver operational support to the site as needed.
- Oversee the project close-out process for Construction & Commissioning, including capturing lessons learned.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a bachelor's degree in engineering, ideally in civil, mechanical, or chemical disciplines.
- Have substantial experience in construction environments and management, particularly in large-scale plant construction within the chemical sector.
- Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously within proposal and contract teams, providing feedback to the Construction & Commissioning department.
- Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to advocate for one's interests effectively.
- Be proficient in IT applications, especially MS Office, with experience in RIT iTWO and SAP daproh being advantageous.
- Thrive in a multinational and collaborative work environment, requiring regular electronic communication and occasional business travel.
- Possess strong language skills in English and German, with additional languages such as Spanish, French, or Arabic being a plus.
