About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Plant Layout Engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our Grid Technologies Business Unit, you will be responsible for designing and developing best-fit solutions for our plant layouts of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop BESS plant layouts to meet individual project requirements
  • Lead a project team of electromechanical, acoustic, seismic, and CAD engineers from project start to construction phase
  • Coordinate with engineering fields, sales, project management, installation, and suppliers to ensure compliance with customer requirements, EHS, and international standards
  • Main contact person for BESS plant layout to customers, internal and external stakeholders, and suppliers
  • Ensure overall project success regarding time, costs, and quality

Requirements

  • Completed university degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering, or comparable education with corresponding professional experience
  • Mid-term professional experience in international turnkey projects, ideally in HV, MV, Renewables, or substations
  • Advanced project management skills to ensure project timelines, costs, and quality
  • Basic knowledge of CAD tools (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Siemens NX, or similar) or willingness to learn them
  • Leadership and communication skills, motivation, willingness to learn, and passion for the job
  • Fluent English skills, German as a plus
