Senior Plant Layout Engineer (f/m/d)

About the Role

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Plant Layout Engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our Grid Technologies Business Unit, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for our Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop BESS plant layouts that meet individual project requirements
  • Lead a project team of electromechanical, acoustic, seismic, and CAD engineers from project start to construction phase
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including engineering fields, sales, project management, installation, and suppliers, to ensure compliance with customer requirements, EHS, and international standards
  • Act as the main contact person for BESS plant layout to customers, internal and external stakeholders, and suppliers
  • Ensure the overall success of the project regarding time, costs, and quality

Requirements

  • Completed university degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering, or a comparable education with corresponding professional experience
  • Mid-term professional experience in international turnkey projects, preferably in the field of HV, MV, Renewables, or substations
  • Advanced project management skills to ensure project timelines, costs, and quality
  • Basic knowledge of CAD tools (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Siemens NX, or similar) or willingness to learn them
  • Leadership and communication skills, motivation, willingness to learn, and passion for the job
  • Fluent English skills, German as a plus
